My professional duties are twofold:
I serve as a teaching librarian at a small liberal arts college. As the Head of Research and Instruction at Goshen College I teach research instruction sessions throughout the college curriculum as well as teach two credit-bearing first year experience courses each year. In this role I also staff the library reference desk, serve as the library liaison to the Nursing and Science departments, and sit on the college’s core curriculum committee.
I serve as a coordinator for a statewide library consortium. As an Information Literacy Coordinator for PALNI I coordinate workshops, end-user needs, task forces on pressing librarian topics, and resources on best practices to assist fellow librarians across the state of Indiana. I work with a fellow coordinator as well as three other librarians as part of a five-member steering team.
